Hindustan Power has officially commenced construction on a 435 megawatt peak (MWp) solar power project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. This ambitious undertaking is set to provide clean electricity to the state for the next 25 years, marking a substantial step towards renewable energy adoption in the region.
The project was awarded to Hindustan Power by the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) in April 2025 following a competitive bidding process.
With the project office operational, Hindustan Power will begin mobilization activities, including site development, workforce engagement, and coordination with stakeholders.
Hindustan Power is an integrated power generation company in India with a focus on renewable and transitional energy generation. It aims to achieve a 5 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2028.
